The Home & Family front yard is almost complete for Halloween … it’s just the right mix of spooky, creepy and a little bit cheeky thanks to the wonderful Dave Lowe and his incredible Halloween designs! These Ghoully Ghosts are a creative and EASY DIY to light up your Halloween.
You Will Need:
- Plexiglass
- Dremel or Jig Saw
- 1 1×3 wood sheet
- 1 1×12 wood sheet
- Screws
- Washers
- White paint pen
- LED Strip
- Black Paint
How To:
- Draw the pattern of the ghost on the plexiglass
- Cut the pattern out with a dremel or jigsaw
- Use paint pen to add features and detail to ghost
- For the stand, take a 1×12 board and nail the 1×2 board in the middle
- Rub the LED strip along the 1×2 board and secure in place
- Take the plexiglass, cut out, and screw it in above the led strip, along the 1×2 board
- Continue to screw the plexiglass along the 1×2 board until it is secure and sturdy
- Place in yard and BOO!

Hello Paige,
I wanted to tell you that I always watch you in Home and Family and I have learned a lot from your segments. I also wanted to ask you: do you have the patterns of these ghosts? I’d like to draw them in a glass wall at my friends’ office.
Thanks
Gris
Hi Gris,
I am so sorry, your comment/question was sent to our junk mail and we just found it! Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback – we love hearing from our viewers:) Unfortunately I don’t have the patterns for the ghosts. This was something we free-handed! Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Wishing you all the best:)
xoxo,
Paige
