Love doesn’t come in just one form… Love can come in a friendship, love can come with our animals, and love can come in our acceptance and kindness for one another and our families. One of my favorite forms of love comes with the amazing friendships that I’ve made throughout the years with some wonderful, kind and supportive women. A group of us call ourselves our “Tribe Sisters”, and we make it a point to meet once every 2 months to catch up, encourage one another, and be there for one another. So while we are thinking about love this holiday season, I want you think beyond the boundaries of romantic love. Instead, focus on the love you feel around with friends that you just couldn’t do without. Galentine’s Day is on February 13th, and it’s a perfect day to show them how you feel with a Galentine’s dinner.
I like to keep it nice and personal. I wrapped little bouquets with flowers that I know my friends will love, along with a cute picture necklace. And I make their placemats myself. They were super easy, and it came out looking very cute. I took a couple simple white linen placemats and painted a pattern of X’s and O’s across them. It’s easy and it gives it a nice personal touch to each of their place settings.
I also love decorating my gifts with things I can make myself. You can grab these red and pink (or their favorite color) paint swatches at your hardware store for free! Use a heart shaped hole punch and just punch through each square. Tie a little ribbon at the end and it makes a cute little gift tag or bookmark!
