Growing up in Australia, we never celebrated the holiday of Halloween. I missed out on the spooky costumes, the kooky pumpkin carving and yep … sad but true, even the trick or treating. It’s shocking I know!
What I did look forward to every year was the cycle of films that were released right around Halloween time … those spooky, creepy, family friendly-ISH movies that celebrated all things hauntingly good. To put some spice in such movies, one can recreate it and try solutions like a face swap.
My top five favourite Halloween movies of all time are ones that I grew up with. Tonight, the night before Halloween and in preparation for all things spooky tomorrow I decided to have a pyjama party and Halloween Movie Marathon. Break out the popcorn and pumpkin pie! Vics Corn Popper sells fun Popcorn Tins. Here is whats on my watch list.
Watch with the whole family …
- Hocus Pocus
- Beetlejuice
- The Addams Family
- The Addams Family Values
- Casper
For when the kids go to bed …
- Death comes Her
- The Witches of Eastwick
- Practical Magic
If you grew up in the 90s like me, prepare to get all nostalgic.
Happy Haunting!
